Seeds

Radish 'Sora' is an ancient, annual and very fast-growing root vegetable variety. After a short time, the plants develop medium-long leaves and small, round, luminous and carmine tubers, which remain tight and firm for a long time even during cultivation. The taste is mild spicy with a slight sharpness. Suitable for year-round cultivation.

General
Due to the simple and uncomplicated germination, no-till seeds in rows are recommended. Sow the seeds no deeper than 1 cm so that the root can develop. The sowing can be done tightly, by later singling the small and densely growing young radishes can be harvested early to give others the space they need to grow.
Radishes prefer a sunny location with a nutrient-rich and humus-rich clay soil. Prepare the soil with deposited animal manure. Avoid waterlogging.

Additional tips
For a continuous harvest, we recommend a recurring 2-week spiked sowing. The nature of the soil determines the degree of sharpness of the tubers. In principle, year-round sowing is possible for radishes in subtropical climates. At temperatures around 3 ° C. there is only a growth retardation, which only prolongs the culture time. Pot culture possible. In order to quickly obtain a fine, crumbly and well-drained soil, an additional incorporation of biochar and primeval rock flour is recommended.

Type of propagation
Spread occurs via seeds.

Care Plants
Regular watering during drying times is necessary to minimize the bursting of the roots. M It animal manure prepared beds and planting in mixed culture, replaces additional fertilization.
