The biennial curly parsley 'Mooskrause' is a world-famous and versatile kitchen herb with a naturally strong aroma. In ancient times it was considered a sacred plant, a plant species for every home garden. Ideal for direct sowing, pot cultivation possible, sowing spring-autumn-winter, good for mixed culture, harvest the leaves.

 Description 
Curly parsley 'Mooskrause' is a biennial herb and originally comes from the eastern Mediterranean region. The species was considered a sacred plant in ancient Greece and is mentioned in the Odyssey as an ornament of the island of the nymph Calypso. The well-known and versatile kitchen herb forms numerous wavy dark green leaves and has the typical strong parsley aroma. A versatile kitchen herb that is known worldwide. In contrast to flat-leaf parsley, the curly species grows more luxuriantly in moderate, not too hot temperatures.

We recommend direct sowing from January to April or in autumn from September to December. The ideal location for the plants is partial shade.

Direct sowing from March to August is recommended. The plants should ideally be planted in a sunny location.

 General recommendations 
The seeds need at least +7°C to germinate. Direct sowing is recommended. After germination, thin out the plants to the specified plant spacing.
Parsley 'Mooskrause' does not tolerate waterlogging.

 Additional tips 
In order to quickly obtain a fine, crumbly and permeable soil with good nutrient and water storage capacity, additional incorporation of biochar and primary rock flour is recommended.
