 Description
Lady's mantle is an ancient perennial wild tea and medicinal plant that can be found in Europe, Asia, and North America. The perennial has round, lobed, and finely toothed leaves with small yellowish flowers and has always been used to treat women's diseases. The tannins and saponins it contains have a diuretic effect, increase gland activity, have an anti-inflammatory effect, relieve menstrual cramps, and contribute to the healing of birth injuries as well as general wound healing. In damp weather and especially in the morning hours, lady's mantle secretes water from special glands on the edge of the leaf, which collects as drops in the middle of the leaf. This water was once considered healing water and was collected by alchemists. It is a food source for many insects and a bee pasture.

We recommend direct sowing from January to April or in winter from December onwards. The ideal location for the plants is partial shade.
Moderate climate (e. g. B. Germany, Switzerland, Poland)
Direct sowing from March to June is recommended. The plants are best placed in a sunny to partially shaded location.

 General recommendations
In warm locations, artificial stratification at 0°C for 2 weeks is necessary for the seeds to germinate. Direct sowing is recommended. After germination, thin out the plants to the specified plant spacing.
Lady's mantle does not tolerate waterlogging.

 Additional tips
In order to quickly obtain a fine, crumbly and permeable soil with good nutrient and water storage capacity, additional incorporation of biochar and primary rock flour is recommended.

 Type of propagation
Propagation occurs via seeds or root division.
